Christine & Dean: Italian Winery

Early fall, rich colors and lots of wine! We created a design for Christine & Dean that embraced their Italian roots but also brought some of the winery elements into the room. The wedding took place at the San Marino Banquet hall. We had deep wine colored linens and sashes to match. Ivory chair covers. Tables were named with names different Italian cities. Individual favors for all the guests were cute bottles of red wine. Our centerpieces brought few of the rich colors together to fill up the room and give it more texture. We had simple accent lighting that helped to create a warm mood later during the evening. We hope Christine and Dean have many happy years and we want to congratulate them on their marriage!

Sara & Andrew: Romantic Meadow Brook

I loved working with Sara and her family on her big day! Till this day probably Sara had the most sophisticated color palette that I ever got to work with. It wasn't just antique pink that made it special but the collection of complementary colors that were really unique! The colors she picked were light, romantic and fresh and gave a sense of "old time charm". Sara picked for her reception venue Meadow Brook Mansion which as usual was amazing and just completed a romantic vision that she had in mind. See how everything came together for Sara and Andrew below.

Jola & Chris: Opening Fall Wedding Season

We were super excited to work with Jola and her fiance on planning their wedding. We previously had a chance to work a little with Jola on her brother's wedding in 2012. This time, inspiration for the wedding was Michigan fall. Both bride and groom loved the outdoors and hunting so it only felt natural to somehow incorporate it into their wedding. A natural fall color palette helped us bring the outdoors indoor. Our centerpieces had iron vintage stands, we incorporated deep greenery from antique green hydrangeas, branches and also had details of deer antlers as additions to our centerpieces. We had warm candlelight lighting in the room to add to the romantic fall look. Traditional Polish appetizer table was full of amazing goodies, including venison, jerky, lard and Polish moonshine. Our amazing couple really knew how to celebrate their day. Dancing and fun lasted way past 1am!

Below is a shot of  Jola's bridal bouquet. It had few types of roses, stock, spray roses and chocolate cosmo flowers!

And here are few beautiful photographs from the wedding taken by Dresden Park Photography.

Stephanie & Anthony: Belle Isle Late Summer Wedding

Planning a wedding with Stephanie and one of her really close friend's Marisa, was really fun. (Marisa was one of our brides from 2009). Stephanie had a vision of what she wanted for her wedding to look like and it wasn't all that easy to explain. After a bit we came with a really colorful and saturated color palette that fit Stephanie's imagination. Stephanie's wedding took place on Belle Isle Yacht Club which was just a great venue for a late summer wedding. Ceremony was planned to be outside overlooking Detroit River but with rains in forecast we had to move the ceremony inside. We designed our arch in such a way that it still looked vibrant and romantic. We took one of colors in Stephanie's palette and we used it as a background. We draped it with white fabric and added colorful flowers. For the ceremony as well as reception Stephanie and Anthony had silver chavari chairs. Linens on the tables were deep satin navy, just like bridesmaid's dresses. Flowers on the tables had orange calla lilies variety or roses and beautiful purple stock. We had little details for the tables with purple and navy. We decorated an amazing wedding cake done by Morning Glory with beautiful calla lilies and willow branches. It was a beautiful day and our couple looked amazing. Stephanie and Anthony are expecting their first baby soon and we are super excited for their future ahead!

Here is one of the very few photos from Stephanie and Anthony's wedding. Hopefully we will get some from their professional photographer soon. Bride and the bridesmaids looked amazing.

October wedding.

Christie & Rich, October 2012

We are already in 2013. Meeting with a lot of new clients and planning weddings for this year's summer and fall. I still have few posts from wonderful weddings we have done in 2012 so this week I have another wedding from this past October. Christie and Rich wanted an intimate fall wedding with lots of charm. We worked in one of smaller rooms in Royal Park Hotel so we decided to keep majority of colors lighter in shade. We had lots of champagne and we accented it with darker colors of brown and burgundy. For extra pop of color, we used copper and antique peach. Lower centerpieces were perfect for this space since they didn't take away from the room. We had a lot of wonderful little details such as our wedding cake table design and elegant menus. Christie and Rich looked very happy and they had a wonderful fall wedding day. We wish them wonderful life together!

She was daring enough to go this dark, I was very proud of her!
