Christine & Dean: Italian Winery

Early fall, rich colors and lots of wine! We created a design for Christine & Dean that embraced their Italian roots but also brought some of the winery elements into the room. The wedding took place at the San Marino Banquet hall. We had deep wine colored linens and sashes to match. Ivory chair covers. Tables were named with names different Italian cities. Individual favors for all the guests were cute bottles of red wine. Our centerpieces brought few of the rich colors together to fill up the room and give it more texture. We had simple accent lighting that helped to create a warm mood later during the evening. We hope Christine and Dean have many happy years and we want to congratulate them on their marriage!

Melanie & Derek: Love Coral.

I loved working with Melanie and Derek! What a fun, full of love couple to plan a wedding with. Melanie from the beginning had her vision set on coral wedding with silver and ivory accents. I think coral is a gorgeous summer color for a wedding and cooled down by silver accents all together it a was really nice combination. We picked coral table linens to give us lots of color. We had silver chavari chairs with white satin sashes tied over the backs in a rose knot. Napkins on tables were ivory. We had two different centerpieces. Floral pieces had lighter shades with coral accent flowers. Every other table had LED lit tube centerpieces with white hydrangeas on top. We also had ceiling draping over the dance floor that made the room look more whimsical. The two-tier head table was also dressed up by draping. San Marino Club as usual set up a really amazing sweets table. But the dessert was definitely topped by monstrous-size wedding cake from Sweet Dreams Bakery. Melanie and Derek had a really beautiful summer wedding. We wish both of them happiness and long life filled with lots of love!

Kristy & Phil: Vibrant fall.

Kristy had a perfect vision of her wedding from the beginning. She picked out a really fun and vibrant color palette that really was out of the box for fall season. In the beginning Kristy wanted all lower centerpieces but we ended up mixing two types to create more variety in the room and bring in more colors. We kept majority of the linens ivory with just purple accents. Our LED lights and flowers were the ones that gave the pop of vibrancy. Kristy had a really cool idea of doing carmel covered apples as favors that really fit perfectly. For a late fall wedding this has been a really warm and gorgeous Michigan day. Our couple looked amazing as you can see below. Congrautlations Krisy and Phil!

Metallic Wedding.

Elizabeth & Brian, July 2012

I love creativity that some of our brides bring to the table when we meet. Elizabeth had a vision of having original and contemporary looking wedding. When Elizabeth showed me her color that she wanted to use I was definitely excited. That metallic/gray aqua was a shade that we haven't used yet. Frankly, I haven't seen any wedding with that color. What is tricky about using unique colors is that you often can't buy any flowers of that shade and you also can't buy almost anything of that shade! Everything has to be custom. Elizabeth really liked the idea of light blue to complement our metallic aqua shade. She also knew she wanted silver chavari chairs. To pull everything together we used warm colors such as ivory and champagne, we even added blush spray roses to bring the fresh summer look to our combination. Once everything was set up I must say that it looked extremely elegant and stylish. It had a really cool vibe of traditional San Marino look merged with contemporary. It also had a very romantic feel. Elizabeth's husband during our sample consultation felt a little bit overwhelmed with all the ideas and was a little bit worried about mix of shades that we picked out but once he saw everything set up, he knew we have made the right decisions. Elizabeth and Brian had a gorgeous summer day and she told me she couldn't have wished for a more perfect day for them. We wish them more of those perfect days and congratulations!

Turquoise, green and purple: Vibrant early summer wedding!

Once in a great while we get a very unique color combination to work with. For sure what Cathy and Garry picked was unique! Bright turquoise blue gave vibrancy to the room. We picked turquoise linens for additional tables and head table for more color. They were textured and shimmery which added extra charm. We had two types of arrangements on the tables. Some tall and some low. Tall arrangements had fun Bells of Ireland and more flowers. Low arrangements had floating candles that gave more light. Cathy had two designs for her favors. Some boxes were purple, some were turquoise and we altered them on every other table with our centerpieces. It was a very happy and vibrant wedding. Sunny weather was definitely adding to an early summer feel. It was very nice working with our beautiful couple we wish them all the best in years to come!

Elegant wedding with a touch of rustic.

In June there is always a lot going on, we have plenty of events to design so we stay focused in order to satisfy our clients. For that reason it is very tough to dedicate time for blogging. Since I am slacking I made a goal for myself to catch up within next two weeks. Here I go! 

Magda was our beautiful Polish bride that had a very unique vision for her wedding. Her and her fiance, Nick wanted royal blue to be a dominant color with touches of variety of purple shades. She really loved the idea of garden rustic feel. To achieve that we used a lot of ivy and our rustic stands. Table numbers and details had vine-like designs that pulled the theme throughout the room. As far as flowers we had a nice mixture. Anything from delphinium to hydrangeas and spray roses. A unique part of floral designs that we created were died bright blue roses. Entire wedding was beautiful, only the weather gave us a lot more to wish since it happened to be raining for majority of it. Magda and Nick made the best out of it and had romantic photos in rain and traveled around with a fun big blue and white umbrella! We are very happy for both of them and it was a pleasure to work together. We wish you wonderful years ahead. (Happy one month Anniversary!)
