Sweet Spring: Melissa & Mike

Spring is in the air! I personally love spring weddings. In Michigan however because of stretching winter and unpredictable weather majority of the brides and grooms turn away from picking late March or April dates. We have helped Melissa and Mike design a perfect spring wedding for them. Picked color palette was blush/peach and mint with quite a bit of champagne. Melissa wanted everything matching so simply, we made everything matching! We spiced up entire look by the use of funky chevrons patterns and succulents. We had some sparkles with some of the blush/gold sequence linens. Our spandex chair covers decorated with shimmery diamond bands gave entire room at Cherry Creek more refined look. Menus were printed on mint paper that pulled the mint color thru all the tables. And if you noticed below, beautiful favor macarons were two different primary colors and made an exquisite, sweet touch to all the place settings. At the end Melissa and Mike had a gorgeous spring day. So it is possible to have a gorgeous spring wedding in Michigan! We wish both Melissa and Mike many years of happy marriage.

October wedding.

Christie & Rich, October 2012

We are already in 2013. Meeting with a lot of new clients and planning weddings for this year's summer and fall. I still have few posts from wonderful weddings we have done in 2012 so this week I have another wedding from this past October. Christie and Rich wanted an intimate fall wedding with lots of charm. We worked in one of smaller rooms in Royal Park Hotel so we decided to keep majority of colors lighter in shade. We had lots of champagne and we accented it with darker colors of brown and burgundy. For extra pop of color, we used copper and antique peach. Lower centerpieces were perfect for this space since they didn't take away from the room. We had a lot of wonderful little details such as our wedding cake table design and elegant menus. Christie and Rich looked very happy and they had a wonderful fall wedding day. We wish them wonderful life together!

She was daring enough to go this dark, I was very proud of her!

Metallic Wedding.

Elizabeth & Brian, July 2012

I love creativity that some of our brides bring to the table when we meet. Elizabeth had a vision of having original and contemporary looking wedding. When Elizabeth showed me her color that she wanted to use I was definitely excited. That metallic/gray aqua was a shade that we haven't used yet. Frankly, I haven't seen any wedding with that color. What is tricky about using unique colors is that you often can't buy any flowers of that shade and you also can't buy almost anything of that shade! Everything has to be custom. Elizabeth really liked the idea of light blue to complement our metallic aqua shade. She also knew she wanted silver chavari chairs. To pull everything together we used warm colors such as ivory and champagne, we even added blush spray roses to bring the fresh summer look to our combination. Once everything was set up I must say that it looked extremely elegant and stylish. It had a really cool vibe of traditional San Marino look merged with contemporary. It also had a very romantic feel. Elizabeth's husband during our sample consultation felt a little bit overwhelmed with all the ideas and was a little bit worried about mix of shades that we picked out but once he saw everything set up, he knew we have made the right decisions. Elizabeth and Brian had a gorgeous summer day and she told me she couldn't have wished for a more perfect day for them. We wish them more of those perfect days and congratulations!
