Stephanie & Anthony: Belle Isle Late Summer Wedding

Planning a wedding with Stephanie and one of her really close friend's Marisa, was really fun. (Marisa was one of our brides from 2009). Stephanie had a vision of what she wanted for her wedding to look like and it wasn't all that easy to explain. After a bit we came with a really colorful and saturated color palette that fit Stephanie's imagination. Stephanie's wedding took place on Belle Isle Yacht Club which was just a great venue for a late summer wedding. Ceremony was planned to be outside overlooking Detroit River but with rains in forecast we had to move the ceremony inside. We designed our arch in such a way that it still looked vibrant and romantic. We took one of colors in Stephanie's palette and we used it as a background. We draped it with white fabric and added colorful flowers. For the ceremony as well as reception Stephanie and Anthony had silver chavari chairs. Linens on the tables were deep satin navy, just like bridesmaid's dresses. Flowers on the tables had orange calla lilies variety or roses and beautiful purple stock. We had little details for the tables with purple and navy. We decorated an amazing wedding cake done by Morning Glory with beautiful calla lilies and willow branches. It was a beautiful day and our couple looked amazing. Stephanie and Anthony are expecting their first baby soon and we are super excited for their future ahead!

Here is Stephanie's colorful bridal bouquet.

Here is one of the very few photos from Stephanie and Anthony's wedding. Hopefully we will get some from their professional photographer soon. Bride and the bridesmaids looked amazing.

Vibrant Summer Wedding

Karolina and Chris, August 11th 2010

If I had to find one word to describe Karolina and Chris's wedding it would be definitely "fun". From the beginning Karolina had in mind variety of highly saturated colors and something that would be unique. She didn't want tall vases that you can see in so many of the weddings. Our solution was to create shorter arrangements but still add height to them without obscuring guest's view. One of our strict rules that we go by is for our centerpieces to be seen right away when you walk into a room. The whole idea that Karolina had, was to keep very wedding-like look that was created by white linens and chair covers and have the table centerpieces the ultimate focal point. We had so many beautiful summer colors that were incredibly vibrant which made our task relatively simple. As an addition there was a little bit of silver here and there to add a little bit more elegant look. As you can see on the photos below, the kids table had a huge balloon instead of a regular centerpiece. At that table Karolina also prepared for little guys baggies with fun gifts and toys to entertain them. Cake below was created by Srodek bakery and it was decorated with our flowers. Karolina's bridal bouquet was a special request. She really liked idea of using ribbons and we liked her idea as well! We added variety of colorful ribbons and attached it to Karolina's bouquet, in the wind they looked extremely colorful and fun. All together, entire wedding was a really great experience and everyone had fun. I can't wait to see the actual photos from their wedding day. Congratulations/Gratulacje Karolina & Chris!
