Sara & Andrew: Romantic Meadow Brook

I loved working with Sara and her family on her big day! Till this day probably Sara had the most sophisticated color palette that I ever got to work with. It wasn't just antique pink that made it special but the collection of complementary colors that were really unique! The colors she picked were light, romantic and fresh and gave a sense of "old time charm". Sara picked for her reception venue Meadow Brook Mansion which as usual was amazing and just completed a romantic vision that she had in mind. See how everything came together for Sara and Andrew below.

Here is close up of bridesmaids bouquet.

And few wonderful shots from Kathy Davis Photography that documented entire day.

Lindsey and Julian tie the knot!

August 2013

We have done many wonderful weddings this past summer and they all were different and special in their own way. With this wedding it was nice to have the groom involved in planning process as much as the bride. (That doesn't happen often). Lindsey and Julian went from a very pale palette of colors to a little bit more daring one. Julian actually encouraged Lindsey that using hot pink might bring more energy and vibrancy to the wedding. To balance their pink color combination we ended up picking charcoal table linens. I think it is a great way to get a very pink wedding without being overly girly! The mix of the two turned out really well for them. It really complemented the room. We had two types of centerpieces that added height to very tall ceilings in American Polish Cultural Center. Julian wasn't a fan of candles because he wanted a little bit more contemporary look but we balanced our LED lights with hot pink candles that looked really fun. At the end our bride and groom were extremely happy with the look of their room. Even Julian agreed that the hot pink candles added charm! Our stunning couple had a great day and we hope they will have an equally great life together. Cheers to Lindsey and Julian!

We still haven't seen any wedding photos from professional wedding photographer but once we do I will make sure to add few. In main time few of our own will have to do.

Very pink bridal bouquet. With variety of roses, hot pink stock and stargazer lilies. On the handle we added an antique brooch.

Above are few bridesmaids bouquets that had similar colors to the bridal bouquet except we added more white for the flowers to stand out on hot pink dresses that they were wearing.

Pink! Pink! Pink!

Ewa & Michael, July 2012

Ewa and Michael's wedding was probably what every girl secretly wants. Ewa for sure had it her way and won this battle. We had lots of pink, all shades and everywhere. Our flowers were a mixture of pink flowers with a touch of white. We had fuchsia satin linens on the head table, cake table and few additional tables for accent. Lights were what pulled everything together in our room in American Polish Cultural Center. We had warm darker shade of pink on all the walls except where the head table was. Behind our couple we decided to do softer pink and gobo with names of our bride and groom. In order to reach more vibrant colors in our centerpieces we had pin spots shining directly at all the flowers. Our ceiling drape and chandelier added an extra focal point above the dance floor. Our couple had a beautiful summer day. Congratulations to Ewa and Michael!

Romantic June wedding.

Mary Anne & Lukasz, June 2012

Mary Anne and Lukasz were our lovely couple that I have met for the first time over a  year in advance, during a snowy and really cold winter. Time flies so quickly. Just recently their wedding day finally took place in a beautiful Orchard Lake Shrine Chapel followed by a romantic reception in Villa Penna's of Sterling Heights. Since our couple lives very active and busy lifestyle, flying a lot between Poland and US we really didn't make final decisions on our design till two weeks before the wedding. That's when our bride and groom agreed on keeping majority of the room champagne. From the beginning Mary Anne loved combination of pink and green so our flowers had those very fresh and romantic colors. We had two types of centerpieces, tall and low ones, alternating on every other table. We also designed for our couple table numbers and other details to complete the look. It was a beautiful hot day full of love. We really enjoyed working with Mary Anne and Lukasz and we wish them lots of happines!

Can't wait to see their photographers photos!

True Pink Princess Wedding

Lydia and Geoff, July 10th 2010

This weekend was wonderful. The weather was perfect once again and my wonderful couple, Lydia and Geoff had a very memorable day. Lydia's colors were variety of pink shades. A lot of tiger lilies that gave very strong scent andbrought the outdoors inside of the hall. Hot pink roses, two tone roses, hot pink spray roses, white hydrangeas, two tone hot pink alstroemerias and some orchids. We had satin white linens and satin white chair covers with hot pink sashes. All the satin captured pink light that was projected onto the walls. There was a lot of reflections which created softer look. In the middle of the dance floor there was projected initial. We had pin spot lights above all the arrangements and LED lights that lit up our tall vases. Also all the tables were decorated by pink napkins, hot pink candles and hot pink and white favors as well as pink and white table numbers. We decorated the wedding cake with gloriosa flowers and some hot pink spray roses. On the top there was a bride and groom topper. Bride was kissing a frog. And groom had frog's feet. It was really cute! I think everything turned out great. If youlike pink this was a pink overload, you would feel like in heaven. Lydia and Geoff, we wish you all the best. Enjoy your honeymoon and take lots of photos!
