Jola & Chris: Opening Fall Wedding Season

We were super excited to work with Jola and her fiance on planning their wedding. We previously had a chance to work a little with Jola on her brother's wedding in 2012. This time, inspiration for the wedding was Michigan fall. Both bride and groom loved the outdoors and hunting so it only felt natural to somehow incorporate it into their wedding. A natural fall color palette helped us bring the outdoors indoor. Our centerpieces had iron vintage stands, we incorporated deep greenery from antique green hydrangeas, branches and also had details of deer antlers as additions to our centerpieces. We had warm candlelight lighting in the room to add to the romantic fall look. Traditional Polish appetizer table was full of amazing goodies, including venison, jerky, lard and Polish moonshine. Our amazing couple really knew how to celebrate their day. Dancing and fun lasted way past 1am!

Below is a shot of  Jola's bridal bouquet. It had few types of roses, stock, spray roses and chocolate cosmo flowers!

And here are few beautiful photographs from the wedding taken by Dresden Park Photography.

Green and Yellow: Fun Summer wedding.

Angelika & Anthony, July 2012

Sometimes things just fall into the place by themselves. A lot of brides worry about colors and picking just about perfect details, Angelika was pretty spontaneous about picking her color palette for her wedding. First when we met she wanted silver wedding, with additions of blue, possibly green. She was open even to gold and yellow, but we had to stay within one family. As I set up a sample table with silver linens for her and her fiance, they wholeheartedly agreed that it isn't what they had in mind for their summer wedding. I then set up a sample that was my suggestion and they fell in love with it. All of the sudden in became a lot easier to visualize how everything would look. Angelika showed me samples of photos with branches in centerpieces and knew she wanted something different.  She is outgoing and has a very vibrant personality so naturally fun-organic-looking centerpieces were a perfect fit. To complete the look, we used a lot of greenery with touch of yellow. After everything was set up for their wedding day I felt like we really achieved what our bride and groom wanted. Best of all Angelika had tears in her eyes (happy ones, of course) as she walked into her decorated venue. Moments like that are priceless and make all the hard work that we put into all of the weddings worth it. We are extremely happy for our wonderful couple and wish them happy married life together!

Classy Summer Wedding: Refreshingly Orange

Amy & Neil, June 2011

We have done quite a bit of our planning with our bride Amy and her family over long distance. Living in Florida and planning a Michigan wedding can become really difficult being so many miles away, yet we had a lot of fun working with each other. Amy was so organized and had such a wonderful sense of style that it made work on our part a lot easier. Our goal was to keep their reception in American Polish Cultural Center, classy yet vibrant and cheerful. We had low centerpieces with branches and oranges that brightened up all the tables. All the linens were champagne which gave us a very soft look that fit the hall very well. Instead of traditional head table, Amy and Neil had a captains table. Amy did a wonderful job designing all the details such as; table numbers, menus, favors, seating charts. For late night snack Amy requested to have a little bit of Polish traditional food so there were Paczki and Chrusciki for every guest to try. It was a beautiful day, beautiful family, gorgeous looking couple. Everything was just great. Best wishes Amy and Neil, enjoy your life together!

Marek Dziekonski was Amy and Neil's professional photographer that documented entire gorgeous day. He did an absolutely amazing job, few of his photos are attached below. If you wish to see more of Amy and Neil, visit Marek's blog!
